Connections Dads Activities Committee
Connections Dads Activities Committee (CDAC) is a group of dads who plan, sponsor, and implement activities for families and their children 0-6 years of age.
The engagement of father figures directly affects child develpment.
Involved fathers can help promote:
- Higher academic achievement
- Stronger math and verbal skills
- Greater emotional security
- Higher self-esteem
- Children taking safe risks
- Greater social competence
CDAC activities include:
The Connections Dads Activities Committee (CDAC) plans a variety of events for families who attend the Centre. All of these events are always free for children 0-6 years of age.
Saturdays with Dad
CDAC sponsers free play Saturdays with special guests and activities.
Family Walks
Families are invited to Ojibway or other nature centers for walks outside.
Park Days
CDAC sponsors occasional park days, where people are invited to meet up at local parks and participate in various park activities such as scavenger hunts, games, and more!
Date Nights
Parents or caregivers are invited to enjoy a date night, with dinner and a guest speaker on various topics related to child development. Free childcare is provided.

The Connections Dads Activities Committee meets once a month from September to June at Connections Early Years Family Centre. These meetings are in the evening for an hour and a half.
